Claire Williams

Claire had her stroke whilst working as a jazz singer in Goa. After two weeks in hospital, her twin sister Sandy chartered a private plane to fly her home. She was admitted to Epsom General Hospital and was very pleased with the care she received there. Later she was transferred to the Wolfson Rehabilitation Centre in Wimbledon and allowed home at the weekends to stay with Sandy. Eventually, she sold my house in London and went to live permanently with Sandy and her husband, John.

By the time Claire came to Dyscover she was able to walk and had regained some speech.

Claire has made many good friends at Dyscover and enjoys the many activities including singing and art. She has also been on several outings including Hampton Court Palace and Tate Modern in London.
