Last week members of all Dyscover groups shared a variety of wonderful stories and information about the Thames, from boating adventures to the engineering and design of bridges. In the Tuesday afternoon Zoom group volunteer Jo showed members some clay pipes and other historical items she’d found while mud-larking on the banks of the Thames. Dating from the 17^th and 18^th century, the fragile clay pipes were tossed away into the Thames after only a few uses.
