We wanted to say a huge thank you to Camilla Peterken and everyone at Greensand Artists, who supported Dyscover as their chosen local charity during their fabulous Affordable Art Show, held from 28th–31st August at Betchworth Village Memorial Hall. The exhibition brought together original paintings and prints from 14 local artists, with Dyscover benefiting from funds raised across the weekend.

The event was a great success, raising a fantastic £570 for Dyscover through donations and the sale of artwork. In particular, six paintings were sold on behalf of Dyscover, raising £400, with a further £170 raised through generous donations for cakes.

It was also lovely to see a wide range of Dyscover members visiting the exhibition and enjoying the artwork on display. Events like this are a wonderful way of bringing Dyscover into the local community, while raising both valuable funds and awareness of the work we do supporting people with aphasia and their families.

A special shout-out must go to Camilla, who sold an impressive seven paintings herself – three of them for Dyscover – a new personal record!

A huge thank you once again to Camilla, all of the Greensand Artists, everyone who helped with the event, and of course everyone who visited, bought a painting, enjoyed some cake or made a donation. Your support really does make a difference.
