We rely upon a large team of Volunteers to run our services and the charity as a whole. We have a range of volunteering opportunities, open to all. Our volunteers are the backbone of our organisation and we value them immensely, hugely investing in their recruitment, induction, ongoing support and training, led by a dedicated Volunteer Co-ordinator.
Many volunteers support our Speech and Language Therapists (SLT’s) and assistants in our weekly supported conversation group sessions either in person or online. Others help with fundraising, marketing and office/administrative support or join our Trustee Board (who are all volunteers too).
Do consider joining our friendly volunteer team and help to make a difference to people with aphasia. Develop new skills, make new friends, and share your interests and knowledge with others.

Trustee
We are always keen to hear from anyone interested in becoming a Trustee. Whatever your background. Whether you are an experienced Trustee or looking to take your first step at Board level, we would love to hear from you.
Fundraising
Fundraising is hugely important for our service provision. Could you support our Community Fundraising Team? We need organisers with good ideas and helpers to support several fun events. There are all sorts of roles, from researching ideas to running events, co-ordinating raffles to liaising with other community groups and businesses. We are always looking for volunteers to get involved, particularly those who can help at weekends and in the evenings. We can never have too much help in this area, and you can commit as much time as you have. Our team would love to hear from you.
Administrative
Our small friendly team are always very grateful for support with admin tasks in the office or perhaps with you could help with our marketing or social media. Whether you are looking to volunteer on a regular basis, in person, remotely or on an ad-hoc basis, we can be flexible and welcome enquiries.
