Dyscover is celebrating a fantastic fundraising success after taking part in the London Winter Walk 2026, with supporters raising an incredible £10,759 to support the charity’s specialist Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) service.

Held over Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th January, Team Dyscover joined hundreds of participants tackling a variety of walking distances along the Thames, completing a combined total of 111 miles across the weekend.

The event marked Dyscover’s first major participation in the Winter Walk challenge and exceeded all expectations, both in terms of fundraising and community spirit. With donations continuing to arrive after the event, the final total now stands at over £10k – equivalent to more than £90 raised for every mile walked.

A Team Effort With Real Impact

Participants included supporters with personal connections to Primary Progressive Aphasia, alongside friends, family members and volunteers, all united by a shared commitment to raise awareness and funds for Dyscover’s specialist services.

The variety of distance options helped make the challenge accessible to all abilities, while strong organisation from event partner Ultra Challenge ensured a positive and well-supported experience.
