Working with academics in the field of aphasia is both important and interesting to us and our Members. It helps us develop evidence based services and also provides opportunities for people with aphasia to engage in research and make a difference.
We welcomed SLT Ciara Shiggins and psychologist colleague Hayley from UEA in Norwich. Their aphasia friendly presentation about the ASSENT project generated a lot of interest amongst Members, several of whom have volunteered to take part in interviews.
We will welcome Ciara and colleagues back next week.
